Ashley Rose, Psy.D
Mental Health Professional
Dr. Ashley L. Rose earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. in 2018. During her residency at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center (Joint Base Andrews, MD), Dr. Rose worked with Active Duty Service Members and their families on a variety of mental health concerns. She has extensive experience providing treatment for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, TBI, and many others.
Prior to joining the team at A Better You, Dr. Rose was a commissioned officer with the United States Air Force and most recently served as an Active Duty Psychologist at Little Rock Air Force Base. She has insight into the specific challenges faced by those who serve our country and has a passion for working with service members, veterans, and their families. As a mother of three, Dr. Rose also understands the unique stressors associated with parenting in today’s society (regardless of military status). She is dedicated to helping clients – along with their children and families – find strategies that will optimize well-being in this fast-paced world.
Dr. Rose approaches therapy from a biopsychosocial perspective and recognizes that there is no “one size fits all” treatment modality. As such, she strives to understand all factors that may be impacting a client’s functioning, and works with each client to develop an appropriate plan, whether it be Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or something else. Dr. Rose enjoys working with clients of all ages and offers individual, family, school-based, and group therapy.
